What scholarships are available now for me? 2010 HS senior in the fall?
I'll be an educated school in the fall. I'll need money for scholarships when I go to college. I was told to start implementing for scholarships now so I can go before my game and get as much money as possible. However, I do not find many scholarships available. Everything I found was the Coca-Cola scholarship, I intend to ask. Anyone aware of any others? =]
There are many scholarships out there, but I can not tell you what you can claim depends on you and what are willing to do. Most scholarships require you to write an essay and have a cumulative average of at least 2.5, often higher. There are many websites that offer Ad Scholarships and your local library should also provide a couple of reference books that you can look at through. Also, you should talk to your guidance counselor if you have not already done so, because sometimes we know about local scholarships in May will not find elsewhere. If you've already been accepted into college, then you should also go ahead and talk with their financial aid office, since schools often have scholarships for their students.
