Who’s Behind Charteroo.com?

Charteroo.com is the unique philanthropic project and vision of founder and CEO Craig Romero. Romero has enlisted a talented team of technology, marketing and public relations experts who are passionate about supporting education in America, while making it fun and easy! Charteroo’s parent company, Search Engine Corp, based in Santa Fe, New Mexico brings together the distinct worlds of technology and generosity.

Romero believes that by building a new type of search engine for Internet users, he can build a new source of funding for public education. Each quarter, Charteroo donates 50 percent of its gross revenue directly to participating charter schools, allocating the money to individual charter schools in relation to the number of visitors that each school receives. Users choose their state during their first visit to the www.charteroo.com home page and then they will select their charter school of choice. From this point, 50% of all activity on each school search page will be donated to that charter school every quarter.

"Charter schools need to cover capital expenses out of there school operational budgets and they need funds to continue these programs," Romero said. "Charter schools can use funds generated from Charteroo to pay these expenses, so the operational monies can be used towards operational costs."

“Charteroo is 100 percent focused on education,” Romero affirms, “This is a way for Americans to give dollars to education without even pulling out their wallets.”
